Searcys are looking for a inspiring and people focused General Manager to lead the team at the Inner Temple.
The Honourable Society of The Inner Temple, situated on the banks of the Thames, is one of the few remaining Georgian style event halls in the City of London. Teamed with its surroundings of a three acre private garden, the Inner Temple is one of Searcys' most exquisite event venues.
As a General Manager for Searcys you will need to be a motivated leader who has a proven track record of delivering seamless, high profile events. The role requires a hands on leader with a strong background in event management, hospitality and catering.

The role combines high-end hospitality management skills with an understanding of working within a historic, institutional environment. Whilst overseeing a variety of catering operations, including members events, hall lunches, commercial venue hire and Pegasus Restaurant.
You are responsible for leading, managing, developing and implementing growth strategies. Responsibilities also include different tasks such as contributing to marketing strategies, recruiting, training, overseeing food quality as well as presence within service and events. Maintaining and developing strong relationships with the Inn’s governing body and membership.

Key Responsibilities:
- Understand the guest and how to efficiently manage the guests’ expectations.
- To have a great front of house presence, be a leader and inspire your team.
- Work closely with your team to uphold the companies legacy and brand.
- Fully understands and articulates the financial targets.
- Establish and maintain realistic budgets and identify ways to improve profitability.
- Effectively manage cost controls and ensure budgets are carefully adhered to.
- To demonstrate an up to date in depth understanding of the Events and Restaurants industry.
- Identifies business opportunities that have the greatest potential return on investment and are consistent with the company goals and brand.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external individuals and groups.
5+ years of management or leadership experience with demonstrable skills and success in leading and developing others
- Proven experience in a senior management role within hospitality and events sector.
- Experience in managing a profitable P&L
- Proven track record of achieving sales and performance targets
- Develop and implement strategies for growth and innovation.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays
